Project win: Air quality assessment for a proposed development in Bexley

19 November 2014

Aether are undertaking dispersion modelling to assess the impact of a large development in the London Borough of Bexley.

The Review and Assessment process carried out by the London Borough of Bexley has highlighted elevated concentrations of air pollution arising from large amounts of road traffic. The Council declared the whole Borough as an Air Quality Management Area in 2007 for the annual mean nitrogen dioxide objective, and both the annual and 24 hour mean particulate matter (PM10) objectives. It is therefore important that the impact of air pollution on local residents is assessed.

The dispersion model ADMS-Roads will be used to assess the pollutant concentrations pre and post development taking into account the additional car parking spaces and CHP plant that will be provided with the development.
