Remote Training in Uganda

09 April 2020

Aether is working in collaboration with Petromall and the Virtual University of Uganda to provide remote training to Uganda’s national inventory team.  The aim of the work is to:

  • Build the capacity of key stakeholders to collect, process and feed data into the greenhouse gas emissions inventory and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) System.
  • Test and pilot the GHG emission inventory and MRV system.

Drawing on the expertise of our teams, we have been engaging with over 50 participants to provide interactive training courses in all inventory sectors. The training courses will be accredited by the Virtual University of Uganda and classified as a Continuous Development Programme. Participants in the training have been highly engaged and are now working to update Uganda's national greenhouse gas inventory.

This project is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through Conservation International. To find out more follow this link: CBIT Uganda
