Aidan James, Assistant Consultant

Aidan is a consultant specialising in Transparency systems within the framework of the Paris Agreement, industrial emissions reporting, and greenhouse gas inventory development. Aidan has assisted a number of governments worldwide in establishing institutional structures and data management systems that promote transparency in climate action. Aidan's contributions include the creation of online platforms for climate change data management, empowering countries to construct a solid foundation of evidence for informed decision-making and compliance with international reporting obligations. Moreover, Aidan holds comprehensive knowledge in European industrial emissions reporting and is currently working to revamp industrial emissions reporting throughout the European Union.

Aidan's skills include presenting, data analysis and coding. Aidan has presented at both COP27 and SB58 about Youth roles in Transparency. He also has experience in data analysis through R and Excel.

Aidan has a BSc in Biological Sciences and MSc in Environmental Science from Imperial College London. Aidan co-authored two scientific papers during this time and has a year of experience of study and research at the University of Copenhagen.

Aidan takes any time he can to travel and explore. He has a range of hobbies including basketball, football, chess and reading.
