Melanie Hobson has 20 years of experience covering a broad range of expertise across air quality pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions and MRV. She has provided support to numerous countries around the world in undertaking reviews, developing their air quality and greenhouse gas emissions inventories and MRV systems and providing training and capacity building. Countries include those in Asia, the Caribbean, South and Central America, Africa, the UAE and many European Countries. She is a qualified UNFCCC Annex I inventory reviewer for the energy sector and is a co-chair of the UN/ECE TFEIP Projections Expert Panel, which aims to improve national emission projections estimates. Melanie also provides technical advice to Aether’s air quality assessment team.
When not at work, Melanie can be found triathlon training, dinghy sailing and attempting to grow fruit and vegetables.
