Supporting Greenhouse Gas reporting systems in South Africa

22 September 2016

Justin Goodwin and Richard Claxton have visited South Africa as part of a project to develop a National Greenhouse Gas Inventory System for the Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA). Working with project partners Gondwana and North West University, the aim of the project is to ensure that South Africa can develop and maintain a high quality data collection, analysis and reporting system for GHG emission trends. The three day workshop was a chance to present progress on the system design, discuss next steps and to transfer knowledge to the DEA staff.
