Harry specialises in the reporting of industrial emissions sources and the decarbonisation of industry and other ‘hard-to-abate’ emission sources.

Harry has a wide range of experience in managing complex technical projects, beginning his career in consulting back in 2016. In between consulting roles, Harry spent just over 3 years as a Leverhulme Doctoral Scholar at the University of East Anglia’s Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, where he completed a PhD in the policy and governance of carbon dioxide removal methods, an emerging area of climate policy.

Recent projects include:

• Helping the European Commission improve it’s European-wide greenhouse gas inventory, leading to better alignment with the Paris Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework and assessing the impact of new methods for carbon dioxide removal methods.
• Managing the compilation of the UK Registry on Industrial Sites, a key government data set of permitting data for the legal monitoring of UK industry.
• Helping the European Environment Agency and European Commission implement the new Industrial Emissions Portal Regulation, centralising the reporting of industrial emissions data across Europe.

Beyond working at Aether, Harry is a keen ultramarathon runner, enjoying long days out on the Southwest Coast Path, near where he is based.
