I specialise in the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) inventory sector
Beatriz Sanchez, Principal Consultant
Beatriz has compiled emissions estimates, provided expert support and enhanced capacity building in several national inventories: for Spain, UK, Jamaica, Chile, Mexico and Honduras. She is a qualified UNFCCC expert reviewer for the Agriculture sector and has participated as co-lead and AFOLU inventory and mitigation expert in the International Consultation Analysis of BURs. Beatriz has also been an international expert for the Environment and Climate Regional Accession Network (ECRAN).
Through her work, Beatriz is contributing to the sustainable integration of agriculture, land use and forestry roles: from principal providers of essential resources to essential sectors in the adaptation to, and mitigation of, climate change and air pollution.
Beatriz started her career as a member of the core Spanish Emissions Inventory team, in the LULUCF and Agriculture sectors and has continued providing LULUCF and Agriculture support for the Spanish Inventory and Projections systems.
In her free time, she enjoys gorge walking and classical music concerts.
