Air quality assessment for a proposed development in Newcastle under Lyme

18 March 2015

Aether are undertaking dispersion modelling to assess the impact of a large development in Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire.

The Review and Assessment process carried out by Newcastle under Lyme has highlighted elevated concentrations of air pollution arising from large amounts of road traffic and an Air Quality Management Area has recently been declared that covers the area being assessed.

The dispersion model ADMS-Roads will be used to assess the pollutant concentrations pre and post development taking into account the additional car parking spaces and CHP plant / gas fired boilers that will be provided with the development.
