Air quality assessment in Reading

22 September 2016

Aether has recently completed an air quality assessment for a proposed large development in Caversham. The site is located in the Reading Borough Council area and their air quality policy DM19 requires that developments have regard to the need to improve air quality and reduce the effects of poor air quality through design, mitigation and where required, planning obligations to be used to help improve local air quality. The assessment used the dispersion model ADMS roads to assess the pollutant concentrations both without and with development, and in addition, an air quality neutral assessment was undertaken.
