Australian data visualisation proposals for emissions inventories

Aether was commissioned by the Australian Department of Environment to provide proposals for interactive visualisations of their greenhouse gas emissions inventory and energy data (AGEIS). The proposals needed to improve access to, and the utility of, the AGEIS data, and meet the needs of both technical users and members of the general public. Various visualisation software were researched and assessed against the requirements, with those that passed being evaluated in-depth. Proposals, including mock-ups of potential infographics, were developed and an ultimate recommendation given.
