A team from Aether spent a day volunteering at Sydlings Copse, a nature reserve near Oxford managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT).
In springtime, this area of limestone grassland is home to a large variety of wildflowers including orchids, cowslips and hairy violets and hosts a wide variety of butterflies. However, the grassland is encroached upon by brambles, hawthorn and hazel so it needs management to maintain the habitat.

The Aether team spent the day taking to the scrub with loppers and wood saws to clear the area in preparation for the spring.
