Project win: Air quality neutral assessment

Aether has been asked to undertake an air quality assessment for a proposed development of 15 flats in Southwark. The work will consist of detailed dispersion modelling using ADMS-Roads as well as an air quality neutral assessment.

This is a new requirement by the GLA and the method for undertaking the assessment is outlined in the Sustainable Design and Construction Supplementary Planning Guidance (April 2014) with emission benchmarks for NO2 and PM10 for buildings and transport. It ensures that development proposals within Greater London do not lead to deterioration of existing poor air quality.
