Dundee becomes a Pilot City for the Mayors’ Sustainable Development Indicators

23 November 2017

Together with our collaborator Benviroc, Aether is developing the Mayors’ Sustainable Development Indicators (MSDI).

The MSDI is a Sustainability Index for municipalities in Sweden, Finland and the UK. The index, that will be launched in 2018, aims to compare municipalities’ environmental, economic and social sustainability according to a range of indicators.

The service is currently developed in collaboration with a group of Pilot Cities, and today we are happy to announce that Dundee joined the MSDI. We will work together with the Pilot Cities to select the most relevant indicators, and ensure that the service helps improve their work on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Located on the Scottish east coast, Dundee is the fourth largest city in Scotland with a total population of 148,270. Dundee is the fourth largest city in Scotland, and has recently been known for its work socio-economic regeneration, and profiling itself as a cultural city.

If you are interested in finding out more about the MSDI or our work with cities and municipalities in across the world, please do not hesitate to contact Christofer.
