A Review of Transboundary Air Pollution (RoTAP) has been published by the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology on behalf of Defra and the Devolved Administrations, with Chris Dore of Aether contributing as a lead author.

Aether and AQ Consultants have been awarded a contract by the Low Emission Strategy Partnership to review the Low Emission Toolkit and accompanying documentation and the National Assessment Report.

Aether is leading new work for DECC to identify, review and assess available energy datasets that could be used to improve the UK and Devolved Administrations greenhouse gas inventories.

Aether have had a major role in the winning consortium for a large EU contract to review Member States Greenhouse Gas emissions inventories in 2012. This review will help to determine the baselines for agreeing targets under the Effort Sharing Decision.

Aether and Air Quality Consultants have won a Defra contract to review the effectiveness of Local Authority Air Quality Action Plans and future policy options for Local Air Quality Management. The team is expected to report its findings in April next year.

Aether have won another contract to help the Irish EPA compile their national emissions inventory (Aether provided technical support to the EPA to help with the emissions inventory last year). Emma Salisbury will be based in Monaghan, working with the EPA inventory team.

Aether are pleased to be part of the winning team for the UK's National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory for the next 3 years. The AEA bid, complemented by Aether, provides Defra and DECC with a highly experienced team.
