Aether ran a workshop during the Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) annual conference on compiling and using SEAPs and heat maps. The workshop was attended by members of Scotland’s public bodies and was run to build capacity for planning and monitoring energy and low carbon actions.

Melanie recently returned from Barbados where she presented the 2010 greenhouse gas inventory, which Aether compiled. The workshop is the last in the series of those undertaken for the Second National Communications project for the Ministry of Environment and Drainage.

The UK’s greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory consists of the national GHG emissions presented in the UNFCCC’s Common Reporting Format (CRF), and the National Inventory Report (NIR). The NIR follows a UNFCCC-required structure and details the methods used to calculate the UK’s GHG emissions.

Aether have been commissioned by Ireland’s Environmental Protection Agency to provide a comprehensive review of their national air quality and greenhouse gas projections.

Defra has commissioned Aether to review the nitrogen and carbon flows that contribute to key emission estimates for the agriculture sector of the UK National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory.

Aether and the UK national air emissions inventory team have published the Devolved Administrations' Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory Report.

Aether recently completed a project for DECC on Alternative Fuelled Vehicles (AFVs). The project reviewed the activity and emission factor data available over the time period 1990 to 2012 and projections to 2030.
